A Benefit Variety Show — December 30th

TRANScend Youth is making the yuletide gayer than ever before with our first live event, “Home For The Holi-Gays!”
Singers, dancers, comedians, drag artists, and more, we invite you to don your gay apparel and join us for the queerest event this holiday season!

All information below will also be included in the Audition Submission Form, but hey, doesn't hurt to have it twice!
To audition for “HOME FOR THE HOLI-GAYS”, you must:
-Identify as LGBTQIA2+
-Be age 13-26
-Be available for AT LEAST one full rehearsal: (December 28th at 5:30pm - 7:30pm and/or December 30th at 1:00pm - 3:00pm)
-Be available for the performance itself and relevant call time: (December 30th at 6:00pm - End of Show (Performance begins at 7:00pm))
-Submit a video of what you would want to perform for the show by December 5th. Though we know it’s difficult, you must select your act now. Please provide the video as a YouTube link (Public or Unlisted) in the appropriate field.
-Agree to all terms and conditions as listed.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
All rehearsals and performances will be at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts (403 W Hillcrest Dr, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360) in the Theatre. If selected, you will follow all theater and production rules and be respectful of all staff, volunteers, crew, and performers.
Your performance must be (A) 4 minutes or less and (B) in some way related to the title/theme of the show. The theme is “Home For The Holi-Gays.” The show is also a benefit performance for “She Kills Monsters: Young Adventurers Edition” so your theming may also include Dungeons & Dragons/TTRPG related material, but must include at least one of the other themes (Holiday or LGBTQ+). In addition, your performance must be of a "PG-13" rating or less.
If your act contains multiple people, please only submit one video and form with all parties information listed.
Submitting an audition does not guarantee a slot for the performance. You will be notified of your selection status by 12/10/2023 (December 10th) via email.
This is a volunteer performer slot, meaning there will be no compensation. If selected for the show, you can choose to be featured on TRANScend Youth’s social media with your own branding/social media, but there will be no direct compensation.
